Hilton Head Island, S.C. -- Make it five in a row for the University of Lynchburg men's tennis team!
The Hornets completed their trip to Hilton Head with three wins beating Webster 8-1 Friday morning.
Lynchburg swept doubles play with Levi Vigdorchik and Lauren Muhlhause winning at No. 1, Sebastian Sierra Valencia and and Alex Rintoul winning at No. 2, and Christian Zepeda and Patricio Zepeda winning at No. 3. The Zepeda brothers teamed up in doubles action for the first time this season and won in 8-7 in a tiebreak.
Vigdorchik won his eight-straight singles match at the top-singles flight, and Emile Paindavoine won his second in a row at No. 2. Muhlhause grabbed a win at the third flight, and Rintoul won easily at No. 5. Dan Hardy grabbed his second-career singles win at No. 6 with scores of 6-3, 2-6, 1-0 (2).
Lynchburg's game-by-game records date back to the 2004-05 season. The Hornets have never won five matches in a row in that span.
The Hornets (6-2, 2-0 ODAC) return to the Commonwealth for more conference action on Sunday, March 26 at 1 p.m. against Va. Wesleyan.
