Emory, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg men's tennis team lost 6-1 against Division-II opponent Emory & Henry Wednesday afternoon.
Christian Zepeda and Alex Rintoul won 6-4 at the third-doubles flight. However, at the Division II level, doubles counts as one decision, and the Wasps beat out the Hornets at the other two doubles flights to clinch the doubles point.
Levi Vigdorchik took down his opponent at No. 1 singles in the first set, dropped the second, then won in a tiebreak to claim Lynchburg's only point of the afternoon.
The Hornets (1-2) play their first conference match on Thursday, March 2. Lynchburg hosts Roanoke at Crosswhite at 2 p.m.
