The Lynchburg College athletic department each week showcases a question and answer feature with our Hornet of the Week. The third student-athlete in this series is freshman women's soccer player Dessi Dupuy. The Lynchburg, VA native scored four goals and two assists in two games last week. She tallied two goals and two assists against Methodist University and scored the game-winner. Dupuy also scored two goals against ODAC opponent Sweet Briar College. In addition to those marks, she was named the ODAC Player of the Week for her accomplishments.
Why is the Hornet soccer program as successful as it is?
The Hornet soccer program is so successful because the team is full of hard working players. We don't stop at average. We do our best to exceed limitations.
What are your goals for the season, both individual and team?
My goal for the season is to challenge myself to get better at my weakness, for example a left footed shot. Also, as a team, to have a winning season and make it to the Final Four.
