Lexington, Va. -- University of Lynchburg's men's soccer team fell, 4-0, Wednesday afternoon to No. 6-ranked Washington and Lee in Old Dominion Athletic Conference action.
The Hornets (4-4-5, 1-1-2 ODAC) did not manage a shot on goal in the match.
W&L (10-1-2, 4-0 ODAC) got on the board when Samuel Bass scored, unassisted, in the 40th minute and added another goal 20 seconds later to take a 2-0 lead into the locker room at half.
The Generals added two more goals -- one in the 49th minute and another in the 82nd -- to put the match out of reach.
Wednesday's was the second meeting of 2019 between the two perennial powers. They drew a September non-conference match as neither team was able to get on the board.
Lynchburg's men will return home for Saturday action, a 7:30 p.m. ODAC contest against Eastern Mennonite to cap off the Homecoming festivities on Shellenberger Field.
