Forest, Va. -- Following one of the most successful seasons in program history, the Lynchburg College women's tennis team has placed three players on the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's all-conference teams, the league announced Monday.

Sophomore Christina Harris (Falls Church, Va.) and juniors Lilli Altenburg (Lexington, Va.) and Sarah Wyly (Leesburg, Va.) appeared on the league's superlative list.

Harris was named first-team All-ODAC at No. 1 singles for the second year in a row, and she also earned a repeat honor at No. 1 doubles, where she and Wyly were named to the second team.

Altenburg earned second-team all-league honors at No. 4 singles for her second-career league accolade.

Enjoying one the most successful singles seasons in program history this spring, Harris matched her 17-1 record from the spring of 2017, which is also the best individual record in school history. Her 44 career victories place her second in Lynchburg lore.

Harris and Wyly teamed up for a 6-2 record, 5-2 in ODAC play, at the top doubles spot in the lineup.

Altenburg recorded an 8-3 mark at No. 4 singles and 10-7 overall.

League champion Washington and Lee swept the top awards as senior Michelle Fleenor was tabbed player of the year, the Generals' Erin Ness named coach of the year, and Valerie Marshall earned top rookie honors.

Randolph-Macon junior Gaby Tersigni was named the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete for 2018.

Lynchburg played to a 13-7 record this season, tying the single-season record for wins, and reached the semifinal round of the conference tournament for the first time in program history.
