Harris Recognized As VaSID All-State First Team in Singles

Fredricksburg, Va. -- The Virginia Sports Information Directors announced the Women's Tennis All-State on Friday. Freshman Christina Harris capped off one of the best freshman campaigns in Lynchburg Tennis history after earning First Team singles.

Harris had already earned Lynchburg Sports Female Rookie of the Year and First Team All-ODAC in singles and doubles before recieving the All-State plaudit on Friday. She finished the season ranked 25th in the Atlantic/South Region. At season's end she had an overall record of 17-1 and a mark of 10-1 in the conference. Her only loss came at the hands of Brooke Donnelly, who is finished ranked 8th in the nation and 2nd in the region in the ITA/Oracle Collegiate Tennis Rankings.
