Sparks, Md. -- Lynchburg College women's lacrosse seniors Dorrie MacGregor (Centreville, Md.) and Rachel Henderson (Perry Hall, Md.) played in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association's Division III Senior All-Star Game Saturday, June 2 at the US Lacrosse facility on William G. Tierney Field in Sparks, Md.
The day included three senior all-star games, which showcased talented recent graduates at the Division I, II, and III levels. Both Lynchburg's players competed for the South team and were the first to represent the Hornets in the game since the 2012 event.
MacGregor, the Hornets' career and single-season draw controls record-holder, played midfield and scored the game's first goal.
Henderson played defense, collecting several ground ball possessions and starting offensive transition for her team.
After 28 minutes of play, the game was suspended due to lightning in the area. The North was winning 6-5 when the game was suspended. After several suspensions the game was called with that score serving as the final.
The Lynchburg women's lacrosse program would like to thank both seniors for being such great ambassadors for the Hornets over the past four seasons and congratulate them on this milestone.
