Chestertown, Md. -- Yet another Lynchburg College athletic schedule has been altered by high winds throughout the region Friday, as the Hornet women's lacrosse team has pushed the start time back on Saturday's contest at Washington College.
The Shorewomen will now play host to Lynchburg at 6 p.m. on Kibler Field.
Lynchburg's bus was unable to leave the Hill City as planned Friday afternoon due to wind gusts of up to 60 mph throughout Virginia and the eastern seaboard, which closed schools, caused widespread power outages, and ordered the Chesapeake Bay Bridge closed. The Hornets will now travel northeast to Maryland on Saturday morning with winds forecast to die down.
The Hornets sport an 0-2 record entering Saturday's game. Washington is 1-0.
