Arlington, Va. -- The Virginia Sports Information Directors released the All-State teams for Women's Lacrosse on Thursday and on the list was Lynchburg's own sophomore Alicia Sandoval. The second-year attacker was named to the Second Team.
This is her first time being honored as All-State and the sixth straight year a Lynchburg player had earned a spot on an All-State team. She was also honored as a part of the First Team All-ODAC last month.
Sandoval led the Hornets with 40 goals and 21 assists, recording six games with at least four goals while finishing the season ranked Top 5 in the conference in goals and assists as well. Her top performance came against Southwestern, on the team's trip to Texas, in which she netted four goals while also assisting on four other scores.
