Hornet Women's Lacrosse Rolls 20-6 over Randolph

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College women's lacrosse team scored 10 unanswered first-half goals and rolled to a 20-6 victory over Randolph College in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play Saturday evening.

The teams exchanged goals in the first two minutes before LC posted the next 10 tallies, three from senior Caroline Kilby. The halftime score was 12-3 and the Hornets netted the first five goals after intermission to put the game out of reach.

Kilby finished with four goals and added an assist, while Bri Slate had three goals and two assists. Caroline Carozza posted two goals and two assists, and Katherine Francis, Kira Castle and Maddie Koontz each had two scores. Laura Meisner and Katie Seidel had a goal and an assist, while Ryland Scott, Paige Gadsby and Lindsay Parker also found the back of the net.

Taylor Klevenz had five goals for the WildCats (5-6/2-3 ODAC) and assisted on Randolph's other score.

Koontz claimed five draw controls for LC, while Francis had four. Brianna LaMarca, Helen Boniface and Seidel caused three turnovers apiece.

Lynchburg (4-5/3-2 ODAC) travels to Roanoke College for another ODAC clash Monday at 7 p.m.
