Dickens Earns All-State Laurels

Annandale, Va. -- The Softball All-State teams were released by the Virginia Sports Information Directors on Thursday and junior Skylar Dickens was recognized as a Second Team honoree. She adds the honor to total this season, already earning Second Team All-ODAC last month.

This is the second straight year the outfielder has earned All-State plaudits and the fifth straight year a Lynchburg Softball player has been recognized on one of the All-State teams.

Patrolling center field, Dickens earned Second Team honors with a batting average of .435, 19 RBIs, 33 runs scored, and 12 stolen bases, six of which came in conference play. She also had six assists in the outfield and contributed on a double play as well.
