LYNCHBURG, VA – Senior Vin Curran scored four times and added an assist Saturday night to lead the 11th-ranked Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team to a 20-10 victory over visiting Virginia Wesleyan College in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) game.

The game was tied at 2-2 early, but the Hornets took control soon thereafter, scoring the next seven goals. Lynchburg lead 13-3 at intermission, but the Marlins would keep the gap respectable with seven second-half tallies.

Max Voumard posted a hat trick for LC, and Derek Sweet had two goals and two assists. Campbell Armstrong delivered two goals and an assist, and Josh Davey and Todd Galvin each found the back of the net. Aaron Murphy and Chris Cornelius contributed a goal and an assist apiece and Jay Goldsmith, Charlie Oldendorp and Chris Hower each got in the scoring column. Curran won 13 of his 17 face-off attempts and scooped a team-high six ground balls. Bobby Distler won 8-of-14 face-off opportunities and Tommy Kestermann caused five turnovers. Kestermann also thwarted a Marlin goal, making a diving stop early on with the goalie out of the crease, crediting LC with a team save.
